Gabanuka and kawakawa tea: kawakawa leaf is used for aiding in digestion and soothing stomach upsets. It has a slight peppery and warm flavour. The word Gabanuka relates to our unique Manuka tea leaf plantation. Our Manuka leaf contains a relaxation effect from its unique flavonoids that are present in the leaf. These flavonoids react to the GABA receptor in the brain to create a calming effect. It also contains the free amino acid GABA (y-amino butyric acid). GABA is a main neurotransmitter in the human brain and is known to control feelings of stress, anxiety and fear.
Flavour: The Kawakawa blend brews up warm fresh flavours, creating a good start to the day. A warm woodsy and slightly peppery flavoured tea.
