Our Manuka leaf contains a relaxation effect from its unique flavonoids that are present on the surface of the leaf. These flavonoids react to the GABA receptor in the brain to create a calming effect. It also contains the free amino acid GABA (y-amino butyric acid). GABA is a main neurotransmitter in the human brain and is known to control feelings of stress, anxiety and fear.
